I would like to thank Winchester Speedway and other tracks who do not charge for kids 12 and under and a reduced price for kids in their school age years.I beleive that at this age interest in the sport is just begining to become intense when the prices increase to adult prices. Causing familys to look for a cheaper form of entertainment and possibly losing potential fans who may not return in their income producing years. Reducing prices overall at Winchester has really increased attendence even on a cold and windy day
like April 11. Thank You Winchester Speedway.

I just read in Speed Sport News (4-14 page 50) that A.J. Foyt will allow kids 12 and under to get in free with a paying adult at this years Hulman-Hoosier Hundred. Do you think A.J. reads this message board?
Thanks A.J., we will be there !!

I think you are right on the money Richie, and you're thoughts about future race fans hit home too. Ever try buying tickets to a NASCAR race? Whew!

Winchester used to be one of the most expensive tracks to attend. I was very impressed when I got my schedule in the mail from them (Which BTW, my Dad has been on their mailing list for over 20 years now and Winchester and still gets the schedule. Very good work in that department) and I saw the ticket prices were usually around $12-15.00. I guess the show in October was a hint of things to come.
